You have to add more quantity of paint on paper, do not let it half-dry when applying gradation wash. keep the edge soaked until you finish.

If color start to fade from adding more water, mix more paint into it.

Sai suits me better for my painting style, but Qumarion can be used with Clip Studio Paint Pro to make almost any pose, in any angle you like. It also has perspective feature to make character pose looks more attractive. It’s a useful posture reference when I have to draw difficult pose in difficult angle.

Clip Studio Paint is like sai combine with photoshop, But I still prefer sai as my main coloring tool, and use Clip Studio Paint for retouching and adding special effects.

And I only use opencanvas 1.1 for paintchat  with my friends, I have no experience about newer version.

Someone asked me what colors should they buy for basic watercolor palette, I would recommend them to buy 3 primary colors of any brand they like, and test them out before buying more. I will choose colors which look close to Primary Magenta [Opera Pink or Permanent Rose], Lemon Yellow, and Phthalo Blue.

I took a photo of my primary colors experimentation, with these 3 colors you can make rainbow colors without buying a poopload of unnecessary paints. unless you want to use something more complex. such as granulation colors or unique pigments such as cobalt violet or Quinacridone Gold.

If you need black or dark grey, Just mix 3 of them together, You can also change color temperature by adding additional primary color of your choice into black.

[*Radiant Concentrated watercolors [bottom] seem to have the most beautiful/smoothest pigment I’ve ever used, but they are not lightfast. So use at your own risk.]
